Ordination of Fr. Sean Riley 11th July 2008

Fr. Stephen had the priviliege of attending Fr. Sean's ordination and his first Mass. A priest of a diocese somewhere north of Watford Gap, who had very lucky escape in the European Cup against the Arsenal (it still hurts).
This photo was taken after the many first blessings, and even though he had not eaten much, he posed for this. Thanks Fr. Sean. You can be certain of my prayers as you start your priestly ministry.
Confirmation trip to Folkestone.
Fr. Stephen thanks Fr. Nesbitt for his hospitality and the kindness of the parishioners of Our Lady Help of Christians. This is Fr. Roger with Sr. Andrea of the Sisters of the Gospel of Life
.
First communions Sunday May 25th:
A great day for the parish. We pray for the 13 children who made their first communion.
Fr. Stephen has been in St. Giovanni Rotondo. Just absolutely excellent. Great faith expressed by the Italians. Very moving to see the body of Padre Pio, and to see the Church full for the rosary in the evening. Also saw Mont. San. Angelo. Another marvellous site to visit, easy bus ride from St. Giovanni.
Comments about the new Church I leave to others, but if you thought the Cross in the new Church at Fatima was bad........
6th May 2008: I thank the children of Good Shepherd School for the marvellous Marian procession and the flowers
Good Shepherd Church Sunday morning 6th April 2008
Fr. Stephen prayed for the parish in his visit to Fatima. Recommended time to go if you want a quiet time to pray, read, cheap flights, and accommodation 1 minute away from the shrine. Would love to bring a parish group next year.
Fr. Stephen went to Emirates with his nephew and friends, thanks to his brother. The match was Arsenal v Newcastle, the league game. Score 3-0. A great night out, if a little too expensive to consider going on anything like a regular basis. £3.99 a month on the internet, seeing all the action, seems more reasonable.
